Barbecue Born From Fire and Family

Crazy Gringo BBQ started with a father, a backyard grill, and the belief that food is how you hold people close. After Jon’s father passed away in 2016, he found a way to stay connected through cooking and barbecue. That passion led to the founding of Crazy Gringo BBQ in 2019 and eventually a brick-and-mortar restaurant, built on family, community, and great food.

What our guests are saying

Located inside Kings Brewing, there's an area for a live band and tvs showing sport game. I got their 2 meat, 2 sides platter ($26). I got their crinkle cut fries and potato salad with an order of sliced brisket and St Louis style spareribs. The brisket was moist and smoked nicely. The spareribs had a good amount of meat and the sauce went well. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

Crazy Gringo BBQ in Upland is amazing! The St. Louis ribs were the best I’ve ever had — tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced. The coleslaw was outstanding (easily the best I’ve had at any BBQ spot), and the banana pudding was fresh and delicious. Great West Coast IPA, tasty pickles, and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. Service was friendly and spot-on. Highly recommend!

We found this place on Google it had good reviews. My boyfriend was craving some authentic Barbecue. We had the cubano sandwich. And the mini platter. Brisket was tender,pulled pork and sausage had a good smoke. Patatoe salad and the mac and cheese. Tasted like it was made at home. I liked the googy cheese with that kick with thr Hatch chillis. Staff was friendly and checked up on us several times. Will be back.
